Walk Away is a bold new collection of stories from accomplished women working in banking and technology. Leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers share how they have forged their own paths despite formidable challenges. Set for publication early 2026, the book explores the defining moments that led these women to walk away from convention, limitation or adversity to build careers and businesses on their own terms.
More than a series of personal narratives, Walk Away is a testament to resilience, ambition and the power of choice. Each story offers hard-won insights, lessons in leadership and practical guidance for those looking to shape their own future. We are now inviting women from diverse backgrounds to contribute their perspectives on the pivotal decisions that transformed their professional and personal lives.

Please do get in touch using the contact form below. We are seeking stories of no more than 5,000 words and will interview each contributor in a recorded session via Zoom to produce the final chapter.
We are writing this book to create a platform where you can share your personal stories of overcoming obstacles and the valuable lessons you've learned on your journey to leadership. We are particularly interested in hearing about pivotal moments—those defining times when you chose to walk away from a familiar path and pursue a new direction. These turning points often shape who we become and can inspire others facing similar challenges.
The goal of this book is to provide a source of inspiration for business leaders everywhere, no matter their gender, ethnicity, or background. Your story has the power to resonate with others, offering insights, encouragement, and practical wisdom for anyone striving to grow and lead in the business world. By sharing these transformative experiences, we aim to create a collective narrative of resilience, growth, and leadership that can help guide future leaders on their own journeys.
Whether your challenges were personal, professional, or a combination of both, we believe your experience can inspire others to embrace change, face adversity, and continue moving forward. Together, we can highlight the strength it takes to pivot, adapt, and ultimately thrive in leadership roles, no matter the obstacles faced along the way.
All contributors will be asked to approve the final draft of the story before publication and receive an electronic copy of the final publication as well as five hard copies.

In 2024, Deloitte reported:

Women hold less than one-quarter (23.3%) of the world’s board seats

Since 2022, the number of women on boards has risen 3.6 percentage points and the anticipated timeline for achieving parity has dropped by seven years, but without increased momentum, gender parity in the boardroom will not be reached before 2038

Just 8.4% of the world’s boards are chaired by women and 6% of CEOs are women

At the current pace, reaching global gender parity for chairs and CEOs will not be reached before 2073 and 2111, almost 50 and 90 years from now, respectively
